Liabilities differ to the extent of $8,675.07, from the

amounts shown in the Statements furnished to my Depart-

ment by the Colonial Treasurer.

This difference, owing to an error in com-

puting the amount of Profit from Exchange realised on

Money Order Advance Transactions, has been brought to

the notice of the Colonial Treasurer, who has also been

informed that the necessary alterations in the Account

have been made in my Department.

Revenue.

The total Revenue of the year, amounting, as

stated above, to $2,278,528, was $271,318 more than the

Estimate of $2,007,210, and larger also than the Revenue

of 1893 by $200,393.

As in 1893, the estimated receipts of

Revenue were exceeded under every Head with the single

exception of "Water Account", the total collections

under which fell short or the estimated amount to the
